Another Bitcoin Site Seized By The Feds
« on: June 04, 2013, 11:34:04 PM »
The domain of Bitcoin exchange wm-center has been shut down by the government (as first observed by BitcoinByte and FT's Stephen Foley).

Here's what you'll see right now if you go to http://www.wm-center.com/index.html:

WM-Center

This comes on the heels of the feds shutting down Liberty Reserve, the charges against which contained language seemingly directed at all other digital currencies, including Bitcoin.

UPDATE: wm-center was named as one of the sites seized in the Liberty Reserve case:

This is my addition comment to Herman of Texas.
I agree that this company if SCAM. I lost money on their alerts. They are "good and friendly" when you are just signing up! When I wanted to get out, they NEVER answered my emails in addition to my several calls for weeks!! So what I did was complained to my Visa and they returned my money after they investigated.
BEWARE of this company!
Pour des sensations plus fortes, je suggère AUD et/ou NZD avec en face: USD, JPY, EUR, how to start forex trading.

Hi pipthom,
Be very careful with  Bitcoin exchange wm-center. Start with the minimum required. Maybe they have improved. Started a managed account through  Bitcoin exchange wm-center with them a couple months back and had to quickly close it when I lost 20% in one day.

Donc, je n\'ai aucune idée de ce qu\'ils vont faire.

Hi pipthom,
I had an account at PFG with Bitcoin exchange wm-center. I based it on the track record of almost 2 years of profitable monthly trading. Just after my account was started the account started losing money. After continued losses I decided to close the account. Later my broker at PFG notified me that he had called to check why the account was losing money, it was reported that the trader's wife had given birth but he was still trading.
J\'ai fait la demande Titirus, cela doit être dans les tuyaux, et pas dans les tiroirs je l\'espère.

Hi pipthom,
They said the withdrawal are restricted for 6 months and wm-center will deduct 50% my from the account without any explanation.

I'm still waiting from Bitcoin exchange wm-center for my funds to be refunded. Traders please beware of this scamer. They are the worst in terms of support, deposit, withdrawal.

Yes, I totally agree with both of you, and pray to see this guy put a stop.
Members of my family got scammed by this Martti Malmy, and he just laugh as he bluff justice.
But soon enough I hope to see him in prison.

Hi Forriong,

All in all, I was very dissapointed with their quoting. On the flip side, their demo account is almost flawless. That's what you get for 1 pip spreads. Stay away, stay away, stay away!!!!!

The problem is not Bitcoin, is just that some people use it for bad stuff but that's not everyone, there also some good causes with it. It all depends on who uses it.

The fact that they are getting shut down means that the platform needs more support, not only from other companies but from the clients that are using their services.
